  • Water models to investigate casting and liquid metal flows on the basis of dimensional analysis (using e.g.: temperature-controlled water circuit, sensors for surface waves).
  • Analytical and numerical investigations of internal and external flow fields in stationary and rotating systems with one- and two-phase flows, possibly with chemical reactions (using e.g.: in-house codes, commercial codes).
  • Experimental determination of velocities in complex flows
  • (using e.g.: Laser Doppler Velocimetry, hot wire anemometry, Particle Image Velocimetry, possibly combined with laser-induced fluorescence technology, Stereo-video 3D visualization with high-speed camera for particle and/or bubble motion analysis).
